First Holy Communion – 2026

On Sunday, February 8, 2026, 19 children of our parish received the Sacrament of First Holy Communion during a well-organised and meaningful Eucharistic celebration. The theme was “Bhorvanso Xokti Dita, Jezu Aplea Masa-Rogtantlean Amkam Posta“.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Fr. Rocklin D’Costa and concelebrated by Fr. Pramod Kumar from the Belgaum Diocese.

In his sermon, Fr. Rocklin beautifully explained the significance of this special day to the children, engaging them in a lively conversation to which they responded with great enthusiasm. The children joyfully expressed their excitement at receiving Jesus for the first time.

Fr. Rocklin also appreciated the efforts of the parents, the children, and the catechists, Thomas Fernandes and Jowella Fialho, for their dedication in preparing the children for this sacrament.

After the Eucharistic celebration, the children spent time with the priests and catechists while enjoying light refreshments, bringing the occasion to a joyful close.
