Youth Group Trek to Netravali Waterfalls
On 21st September, our parish youth group went a trek to Netravali, where they visited two of its renowned waterfalls – Mainapi and Savri. A group of 35 young people, accompanied by Deacon Nion and three sisters, took part in this enriching experience.
The trek to the Mainapi waterfall, covering a distance of 5 km, was filled with enthusiasm and fellowship. Upon reaching, the group spent time appreciating the beauty of nature and later shared a simple yet joyful meal in the forest. Each member contributed towards the meal, which fostered a spirit of sharing and unity among all.
Following lunch, the group proceeded to Savri waterfall. The serene and captivating surroundings offered everyone a moment of peace and reflection.
The trek proved to be more than just a recreational activity. It was a time of bonding, mutual encouragement, and deepening of friendships within the youth group. The experience left all participants refreshed, grateful, and more closely united as a community.
Above all, the day reminded us that creation is God’s gift to us, and by walking together in faith and friendship, we draw closer not only to one another but also to the Creator Himself.
