From the 30th of August to the 7th of September, our parish community will come together and celebrate the novena in preparation for the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lady.
Today, catechists, together with our children, prepared a very meaningful and prayerful service before the Eucharistic celebration.
The novenas would be based on themes. List below.
Before the Eucharist, we walked together in procession, joyfully offering flowers to our Blessed Mother, a simple yet powerful gesture of our love and devotion.
The theme for today’s novena was one should be a ray of hope to those who have been in prison. Father reminded us in his homily that we should not be quick to judge. Those in the wrong, may have been caught in their sins, but we too are sinners who may not have been caught yet. His words invited us to reflect with humility and compassion, and to remember that each one of us needs God’s mercy.
At the end of the celebration, the children were delighted to receive chocolates as they departed—a small token of joy to carry with them.
