The Holy Trinity Feast is a significant Christian celebration in Goa, held to honour the Holy Trinity-the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is usually celebrated in May or June, depending on the liturgical calendar, fifty days after Easter Sunday. This year, it will be celebrated on Sunday, June 15th.
This feast holds special importance in Benaulim in South Goa and Nagoa in North Goa, where grand festivities occur. Celebrations begin with a solemn High Mass in the village church, followed by a vibrant procession where the Statue of the Holy Trinity is carried through the streets, accompanied by Hymns, prayers, and traditional music.
The Holy Trinity Feast is not only religiously significant but also a vibrant social and cultural event. People from nearby villages and communities gather to enjoy food fairs, music, dance, and local delicacies, while children and families partake in games and entertainment, creating a joyful atmosphere.
