Devachea Pavtar – 2026

DEVACHEA PAVTAR

On 29 March 2026, Palm Sunday, many faithful gathered to participate in the Pavtar (Way of the Cross) organized by the members of Mainath Bhatti. This annual devotion, which marks the Lord’s Passion as we enter Holy Week, began at Holy Cross Chapel, Mainath Bhatti, and concluded at the hilltop chapel.

Each of the 14 stations was prayerfully conducted by the wards of the parish, reflecting a beautiful spirit of unity and participation. The walk, which lasted nearly two hours, also witnessed the presence of migrants who joined in the devotion, making it a truly inclusive and moving experience.

At the conclusion, the Parish Priest expressed his gratitude to all the parishioners for their participation and extended a special word of thanks to the members of Mainath Bhatti for their dedicated efforts in organizing the Pavtar. Refreshments and water were served to all who took part in the walk.
