Ordination Day – Rev. Fr. Rocklin 2024

Today, as we gather in this sacred space, our hearts overflow with gratitude and admiration
for a remarkable soul who has touched our lives. We celebrate Fr. Rocklin D’Costa, a dynamic
parish priest, a shepherd of unwavering faith, and a beacon of light within our Holy Trinity
Church.

Fr. Rocklin, at 54 years young, is a unique blend of dedication and service. His gentle nature
conceals a wealth of innovative ideas—a fountain of creativity that enriches our parish
community. His meticulous approach to every task, big or small, is a testament to his
commitment. Whether it is organizing liturgical celebrations, providing guidance to
parishioners, or spearheading outreach programs, Fr. Rocklin’s dedication is always evident.
His service has not only touched each of us personally, but it has also made us feel intimately
connected to his mission, recognized, and valued.

In his sermons, we are privileged to witness the depth of his divine gift. Each word he utters
is not just a harmonious melody but a masterpiece—an invitation to draw closer to God. Fr.
Rocklin’s messages do not just inspire, challenge, and uplift us. They weave threads of hope
and love into the fabric of our faith. His sermons have the power to inspire, uplift, and
transform, leaving us with a renewed sense of faith and hope.

Compassion is the lifeblood of his ministry. He listens with empathy, wipes away tears, and
extends a helping hand to those in need. Fr. Rocklin’s ministry extends far beyond the pulpit;
it is lived in countless acts of kindness, both seen and unseen. His presence brings solace to
the grieving, healing the wounded, and joy to the weary.

And when it comes to God, Fr. Rocklin’s dedication knows no bounds. He is a tireless worker
in the vineyard, tending to souls with unwavering devotion. His prayers ascend like incense,
carrying our hopes and petitions to the heavenly throne. When no eyes are upon him in the
quiet moments, he labours for the greater good of God’s kingdom.

Today, as we commemorate his 28th ordination anniversary, we express our heartfelt
gratitude. Fr. Rocklin, your life is not just a shining example of selflessness, faith, and love but
a beacon that guides us. As a community, we are grateful for your ministry and deeply
appreciative of its profound impact on each of us. We pray that it continues to bear fruit,
leaving a lasting impact on our community.

In the psalmist’s words, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.” Fr. Rocklin, you have
shepherded us well. May God bless you abundantly as you journey onward, leading us toward
the eternal pastures.

Thank you, Father Rocklin. I am now short on words to express my deep appreciation for your
work. God bless you abundantly.

Thank you, my brothers, and sisters, for your listening. These are your words for a good human
being, our parish Priest. Thank You
